The Women’s Advocacy Mentoring Group (WAMG) is a student-led initiative that supports and champions female and gender-diverse law students to pursue advocacy and thrive in law school. Founded at the Australian National University in 2025, WAMG focuses on building confidence and practical advocacy skills through mentoring, skills development, and peer support.
And we are back (bigger, better…best-er?) for 2026!
Don’t miss out on our fabulous first event on 4 March 2026 from 5 -6:30pm at the Phillippa Weeks Staff Library. Come by and meet our very special guest, the Hon. Justice Yehia of the NSW Supreme Court, connect with peers, and even find out how you could be involved in our very exciting national launch of the program later this year.
That's right - in partnership with the Australian Law Student’s Association (ALSA), we are expanding our program nationally and starting an exciting new chapter, kicking off with a launch event in Sydney on 26 March. For more details about this, follow our Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook pages.
AND, of course, be sure to hit “going” on our event page for the 4th of March - we can’t wait to see you all next week!
