Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton leads the Justice, Equity, and Opportunity (JEO) Initiative, an innovative effort in Illinois aimed at transforming the state's criminal legal system to promote restorative and equitable practices and programs. In her keynote address, she will explore the groundbreaking approaches of the JEO Initiative.
Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jonathan Eig, biographer of King: A Life, will challenge myths and uncover the raw truths of Dr. King’s struggles and triumphs, reminding us that his fight for justice remains urgent.
