An event to raise awareness of the criminalisation and disappearance of Mapuche activists in Chile, and support families of the detained
About this Event

Please come to show your support for the indigenous Mapuche who have resisted colonisation and occuption of their traditional lands -Wallmapu- and continue to defy the logging and mining projects in Latin America. They are criminalised for their struggle and in November young Lientur Millacheo and Jaime Huenchuñir were the first individuals in Chile to be prosecuted under the country’s newly revised Anti-Terrorism Law. They have faced abuse and torture in Pr*son and separated from other Mapuche prisoners. We are organising support for their case and families. We are also raising the case of Julia Chuñil, the disappeared Mapuche land defender, whose family continue to be targeted by the authorities. Please come along and offer your solidarity and support.
