For all those who have been attending the ‘Just Good Grooves‘ monthly events will know that for vibe & entertainment with the music this event is gaining momentum for all the right reasons! The night is filled with Just Good Music and those involved have been pleasantly surprised to see so many ‘happy clubbers and lovers of the music that JGG is fast building a reputation for playing. This October, Henderson will be joined again by more esteemed guests on the night who are continually adding to the London Club Scene in one way or another when it comes to Jazz-funk, Soul, 80’s boogie etcResident DJ: Henderson
Henderson’s first days of DJing began as early as his secondary school days (1976 -1978) where he would get behind the decks at the school’s youth club ‘ The Shack‘ from 1987 -1992 he built his reputation for playing boogie, rare groove and soul alongside the likes of 'Madhatter‘ Trevor, ‘Bobbi & Steve, Jerry Lewis, Trevor Griffiths, Colin Dale … and the legends & late greats Dez Parkes and Paul ‘Trouble’ Anderson!! From 1992 - 2023 Henderson took a break from the DJing scene until reappearing at Poetic Funk and with help from his close friend Manish has now obtained residencies at and the Horse and Groom & #26 Curtain Road with his monthly events 'Just Good Grooves’ .. and judging by the ever growing popularity, rightly so!
Meet the friends:
Leslie Michell (resident DJ at Funky Stuff): whether it be on the decks or the dance floor, Leslie is guaranteed to have an effect on any night
Tom: likes to be known as the reluctant DJ and will enhance any event with his unique selection of jazz funk and 70’s soul music
Dom Hart: has a wealth of soul music knowledge behind him and is now resuming his DJ journey in the capital
Mr D-Lyte & DJ Moka: these two are guaranteed to light up any event whether it be their overall infectious bubbly personality or behind the decks with their sounds - their potential has no bounds
