Just Dance is finally back from its summer break and we are beyond thrilled to be launching our Season 31! We can't wait to welcome you again and share the dance floor with our amazing Just Dancers community!Get ready to dance to an epic collection of grooves from around the world with the LIVE VOCALS of very special guest multi-instrumentalist Theda Phoenix.
DJ ABHEERU is ready and eager to share his many summer finds packed with sounds and beats that will blend the earth-spanning sonic odyssey of tribal rhythms and global-infused bass vibrations. He will spin a grooving 3-hour set for you to Dance... Express... Be Free... Connect... Delight... and Play...
Just Dance is delighted to welcome Theda Phoenix who will facilitate 2 Sound Baths, one at the beginning and one the end of the night. She will share her exquisite voice and instrumentation to create meditative experiences involving the use of resonant instruments to “bathe” everyone in relaxing and integrating sound waves.
Glowing and colorful uniquely crafted visuals for this evening will be provided LIVE by our resident VJ Kashub

THEDA PHOENIX
Theda "Theeda" Phoenix is a singer-songwriter, sound healer, recording artist, and intuitive vocal guide whose dynamic voice, instruments and light language invite you into a profound journey of self-discovery. Her music is a portal that opens the heart, calms the mind, and reconnects you with your inner truth. Listeners often describe feeling deeply relaxed, emotionally moved, and reconnected to themselves.
Inspired by her Métis ancestry, a deep connection to nature, and her off-grid upbringing on the BC coast, Theda creates immersive sound healing experiences that evoke peace, connection, and safety. Whether through live sound journeys, or her intuitive singing classes, she empowers people to unlock their intuition and the freedom to use their own voice as a tool for healing and personal liberation.
With five studio albums available on streaming platforms and a dedication to sound healing since 2007, Theda has performed alongside luminaries such as Dr. Joe Dispenza and Deepak Chopra. Her authentic presence and soulful artistry remind us that the voice is not just an instrument, it's a bridge to our deeper truth.
ABHEERU
Abheeru has cultivated a profound and rapturous relationship to Global Fusion music, DJing, community service and dancing. He has produced, promoted and DJed more than 600 events for over 55,000 dancers, all in the spirit of service as he has always wanted for JD to donate all of its proceeds to local charities and nonprofit groups. For over two decades, he has continued to innovate, inspire and promote new musical concepts for the Vancouver dance community.
As a DJ, Abheeru is known for taping into an extensive palette of genres and styles from far-reaching locations around the world. His main passion is to infuse and mix a wide-range of musical organic elements and instruments from many diverse cultures and to blend those with delectable modern dance beats. The results are exquisitely creative dance sets that will keep your dancing soul and shoes happy.
KASHUB
Kashub's name stems from the tribe of his ancestry situated along what is now the Baltic Coast of Poland. The tribe, now dispersed and displaced, lived peacefully isolated amidst sand dunes and swamps along the Baltic since before the dawn of the State of the Teutonic Order some 800 years ago. VJ Kashub brings powerful visual projections to induce a spiritual scene so as to reacquaint long lost souls of his ancestry onto our dance floor.
ABOUT JUST DANCE
Just Dance is a positive party community event. It offers a unique opportunity to dance to an eclectic selection of music from around the world. Held twice a month, Just Dance can be described as a refreshing alternative to the bar and club scene. It is a place where you are free to be yourself, connect with a vibrant community and dance the way you want!
