Jurassic Park is a 1990 sci-fi novel by Michael Crichton and the 1993 film by Steven Spielberg featuring a disastrous attempt to open a theme park with cloned dinosaurs. Set on the tropical Isla Nublar near Costa Rica, industrialist John Hammond creates the park by extracting dinosaur DNA from amber-preserved mosquitoes. The plot involves specialists touring the park, whose safety is compromised by sabotage and a tropical storm, leading to rampant, dangerous, and escaped creatures. This film has become a classic.
