You get a JunkArt Journal… and a very happy Friday night.
This is a relaxed weekly gathering for curious makers, crafty experimenters, and anyone who enjoys turning “trash” into something unexpectedly beautiful. Each Friday night we’ll dive into a different mixed media technique. Think layers of paint, collage, stitching, stamping, texture, mark-making, and all the delightful oddities hiding in your craft stash.
Nothing has to be perfect. In fact, perfection is politely asked to wait outside while we glue, layer, experiment and make a huge mess!
Each week you’ll work on your pages using the technique we're exploring. Tuck them safely aside as your collection grows… because at the end we bring it all together, binding your pieces into your very own JunkArt Journal. A chunky, layered little book bursting with colour, texture, and creative adventures from the past weeks.
Each series will create a different Style of JunkArt Journal, ensuring new techniques learned and experience layered. First up we're starting with a Paper Bag Journal.
No prior experience needed. If you can glue paper, throw some paint around, stitch some bits and enjoy a good creative wander, you’ll fit right in.
Bring your curiosity, a few favourite scraps if you have them, and come spend your Friday nights making glorious creative mess with me. ✂️📚🎨
Wk1 under-paper, pallet paper, 5 paint colours, messy pages
Wk2 stencils, stamps, snippets, weaving
Wk3 mark making, watercolour, cloth tape, frakenpages
Wk4 gelli plate printing, stickers, collage, scrapbook
Wk5 napkins, sewing machine, slow stitching, paper ruffles

Wk7 create signatures, sew signatures in, final touches

Cost: $25ea Lesson or $140 for the 7 Weeks
Skill Level: 3 - Beginner Plus
What to Bring: Grab a Box and start collecting any crafty bits laying around the house, Papers, Craft Paint, Pens, Pencils, Tape, Ink, Fabric Scraps of any Kind and Size (especially the tiny ones), Thread, Trims, Buttons, Treasures, Needle's, Glue Stick, Sewing Kit, Snack, Water/Drink
DON'T BUY ANYTHING SPECIAL FOR THESE CLASSES, WE'LL GATHER AS WE GO AND MAKE ART FROM JUNK!
