Kicking off the festival is ‘Squid Game and Parasite in Concert’ featuring award winning composer Jung Jaeil who is responsible for some of South Korea's most popular film scores and has worked on titles such as Bong Joon Ho's Okja and Parasite, the groundbreaking foreign-language film that made history by winning the Academy Award for Best Picture, the most-watched Netflix TV series Squid Game, and Hirokazu's Broker.Joined by the London Symphony Orchestra, Jae-il will showcase iconic orchestral compositions from beloved Korean films including Squid Game, Parasite, Broker, and Okja. Moreover, he will showcase his latest album, ‘Listen’, treating the audience to a breathtaking fusion of his brand-new compositions. As a special treat, he will also unveil a sneak peek of his upcoming album, set to be released this autumn under the prestigious Universal Decca Records label.
