Reparations Bus Tour
Join us for a journey through the Bay Area as we visit powerful sites of Black History and Resistance on our Reparations Bus Tour! We will have community members at each site speaking about local community organizing fights, engaging in celebration, getting free food, and having sessions with healing practioners.
We will be starting in Oakland where the Black Panthers were formed and made their home and where the community plans to build land trusts to preserve their history. After this, we will visit UC Berkeley where we will hear from students, staff, professors, and the community to discuss reparations in the form of free college. We will move onto San Pablo where the community is fighting back against the city’s efforts to build a massive Cop City, and then we will see the Richmond Oil Refinery which is the site of countless environmental battles. The bus will move on to San Quentin Pr*son, a powerful site of organizing and a blaring reminder of the violence of mass incarceration, before concluding in the historic Fillmore District in San Francisco.
