On Friday, June 19, First Presbyterian Church of Boonton invites the community to gather for an evening of fellowship, food, reflection, and praise as we celebrate Juneteenth. We’ll begin at 7:00 p.m. on the lawn by the accessible entrance with fried chicken, corn on the cob, and community fellowship. We invite everyone to bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share.
At approximately 8:00 p.m., we will move into the sanctuary where Rev. Nathaniel Fryer will lead a short praise and worship service.
Juneteenth commemorates the day enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free and remains a celebration of freedom, faith, resilience, and hope.
All are welcome.
