Hybrid Monthly EDS support group meeting. Held on the first Saturday of every month at 1pm.UF Health Jacksonville-Orthopaedic Surgery/Trauma has opened the first Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome clinic in our organization. We are leading the way for patients to be seen by a multidisciplinary team of specialty providers who specialize in the EDS and HSD patient population. Our hope is to provide care that is patient centered and will allow for the management of their unique condition/symptoms for each organ system that is affected with compassionate providers who are knowledgeable about the effects of EDS/HSD in respect to their specialty.
Our organization in Jacksonville can provide all areas of care needed for this patient population as well as assist in the important research needed to advance management and care for this rare condition. The Orthopaedic/Podiatry/Wound care team is currently in collaboration with our Genetics, OT/PT, Uro-GYN with emphasis on pelvis floor reconstruction, and Nutrition teams and are currently recruiting providers from our Cardiology, Neurology, Pain management, GI, Psych/Mental Health, Rheumatology, Family medicine and Internal medicine teams.
