$June Progressive Classes (4-week series) - Introduction to Swing\/Introduction to Balboa.$

Our Progressive Lessons continue in June at the Northside Aztlan Community Center.
This series will start on Wednesday, June 3rd and will run until Wedenesday, June 24th.

We will be offering an Introduction to Swing Dancing class from 6:30-7:30 and Introduction to Balboa class from 7:30-8:30.
We are excited that Kali and Ron will be teaching this month's classes.
Because this is a four-week series, we will be charging $40 for one progressive series. That averages out to about $10 a class! If you would like to take both classes we will be offering the second class at 1/2 price.
We take Venmo (@NoCo-SwingDance ) or cash or check on or before the first night of the class. Please arrive early so we can get you checked in. Also, if you know you will be attending, please email us so we can get a head count at [email protected].
6:30 PM - Introduction to Swing with Kali and Ron.
This class will be focusing on basic 6 count footwork, lead follow connection and introducing a number of moves to start you on your swing dance journey. This is the perfect class if you are just starting out and/or have not partnered dance in a while.
This will be a beginner friendly class.
7:30 PM - Introduction to Balboa with Kali and Ron.
This class will be geared towards dancers that would like to branch out beyond East Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and Charleston. Balboa is a close embrace dance that is typically danced to faster tempo music and provides leads and follows the opportunity to do a lot with minimal effort. We will begin the class by focusing on basic Balboa footwork and close embrace connection. Next, we will introduce some basic Pure Bal moves and then we will introduce the concept of Bal Swing including Lollies, different Toss out variations, and other cool moves. We will also focus on good lead follow connection and the goosh feeling of Balboa.
This will be a beginner friendly class.
Please remember that NoCo Swing Dance is a very beginner friendly community, and we absolutely love new dancers.
No partner is ever needed.
