Speed Dating -
an organized social activity in which people seeking romantic relationships have a series of short conversations with potential partners in order to determine whether there is mutual interest.
If you've ever been to a speed dating event out in the monogamous world, we will be similar but different in a few key ways:
1.) being queer inclusive, we're not breaking people down by gender or assuming people are only interested in the opposite sex. Generally we're throwing out all that cis-het normative nonsense. That said, you may end up talking to someone for 5 minutes who you have no interest in based on gender or sexuality. that's ok! you might also end up talking to someone who is your desired gender or sexuality that you also won't match with because of other factors. Be polite and kind and make a new friend!
2.) We will be asking folks to put their pronouns and name on the name tag and using symbols to express a few other key aspects of yourself so you can jump right into chatting with people about deeper things.
3.) If you come with your polycule, NP, or other romantic configuration, we will do our best to NOT to have you on a date with them during the speed-dating portion of the event, but it might happen. Please don't be disruptive or wander off the floor if you end up together so we can keep on pace.
4.) NO UNICORN HUNTING. This is a queer and polyamorous event. This means you have to be interested in dating people who are queer and polyamorous - I genuinely cannot believe i have to reiterate this, but polyam people are not interested in being your third or being hunted to 'fix' your existing relationships.

Please arrive by 6:15, We will be beginning at 6:30 and need you to get a nametag and be ready to start at 6:30.
