About this Event
Funds from this event will be donated to the Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network.
Celebrate summer with birdsong and a generative writing workshop. We'll follow the paved hiking trail that runs along the creek for about a mile before returning to Peirce Mill. Along the way, we'll use our surroundings and bird sightings to generate a word bank.
Back at Peirce Mill, we'll use said word banks in a generative session lasting about an hour.
Words from Birds is led by local writer Foley O'Brien. Foley is a passionate environmentalist whose writing has received support from The Kenyon Review Writers Workshop, Electric Literature's education partner Writing Workshops Iceland, and One Story's Writing Circle.
