The Celtic Society Book Club has selected a book of poetry to explore for the month of June! We'll be reading Gillian Clarke: Collected Poems (Poetry Pleiade). Clarke is a well-loved Welsh writer, and in fact served as the National Poet of Wales from 2008-2016. The club is eager to dive into her poetry, and we'd love for you to join us! If you're so inclined, you are also very welcome to choose a favorite poem to read aloud at the meeting. Unfortunately, our local library system does not carry Clarke's books, but we can arrange to order extra copies if needed. Please contact [email protected].We've reserved our space at McMullan's, but please RSVP so we can be sure everyone will be comfortable. All are welcome, even if you've not finished reading the book. We promise it will be a lively evening of poetry appreciation!
