Learn how to do the basics of Tunisian Crochet. This simple two-stage stitch can create a gridded ground for working cross-stitch, but with manipulation you can mimic the look of a number of knit stitches. You will make a square that can be a mug rug or similar, or a larger piece that can be turned into a handy sack or pocket.
BRING: Worsted weight yarn and a US I or J tunisian crochet hook. Rule of thumb (if you want to use thinner yarn) is to use a hook at least one size larger than recommended for the yarn. A few hooks may be available to borrow for the class.
COST: Free to members; $5 to non-members (hook not included)
Don't forget to bring a current or recently-finished project for the show-and-tell portion of our meeting.
TFG ANNUAL DUES: Regular dues are $20 per year, no discounts.
Full-time students aged 25 or less may join for $10 for the year by showing student ID or other proof of matriculation. PLEASE PAY YOUR DUES NO LATER THAN THE SECOND MEETING YOU ATTEND! Cash or check to Jane the treasurer at a meeting, or you can use PayPal via one of these links:
