About this Event
Join St. Louis Magazine for a special Family Playdate in partnership with St. Louis County Parks & Recreation at the Queeny Park Nursery on Thursday, June 18 at 9:30 a.m. The Family Playdate series is presented by Royal Banks of Missouri.
Inspired by the park’s beloved Children’s Garden Club program, this hands-on morning invites kids to get creative while learning about the important role pollinators play in our environment. Families will paint and assemble their own pollinator hydration stations to take home — creating a safe spot for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators to rest and hydrate throughout the summer.
This fun and educational outdoor experience is perfect for young nature lovers and families looking to connect, create, and explore together.
Tickets are limited. Advance registration is required.
Why Emily Adams, our Family Editor, chose this location
Nothing is better than getting kids outside and excited about nature in the summer, and we are consistently impressed by the free programming St. Louis County Parks & Rec offers to kids year round. Introducing more families to the amazing educational opportunities tiny environmentalists have with our County Parks team was a no-brainer.
Giving Back
As with all of our Family Playdates, this event supports a local nonprofit. This month, we’re proud to partner with Operation Shower to collect donations. You can help by visiting their wishlist and contributing items!
