If you have a background in other dances 💃 (Kiz, bachata, salsa, WCS, contact improv, fusion, swing, Ballroom etc), and you wanted to try a one-time fast pace workshop to try out Zouk, THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR YOU🤩. We will teach the content of level 1 progressive zouk series - plus a few cool moves - in a jam-packed 1.5 hour workshop, followed by a social!
😯If you haven't had 4-6 months+ of training in these partner dances (or contact improv), then please consider taking Omni progressive level 1 classes (https://www.theomnimovement.org/omnizouk) instead.

🤑BONUS🤑 These ticket costs are 100% REFUNDED TO YOU (no kidding!) if you sign up for Omni Movement Zouk Level 2 Progressive series (Thursdays) for the month of October by end of social that day. DAILY CODE IS REQUIRED TO ENTER THE PARKING LOT & BUILDING.
🌊WHAT TO BRING:🌊
- Your own water bottle
- Flat dancing shoes or socks. Zouk is typically danced in flats unless you are an international level artist. Dance sneakers, ballet shoes, sandals that are not too grippy to the floor, socks (but heels exposed for more grip for leads) are all good choices.
- Arrive early to navigate the door code and not miss essential warm-ups! WE START ON TIME!

Imman Taghavi and Helen Chao, the amazingness from Oakland, bring in their experience in WCS, salsa, and ballroom, and fell in love with Brazilian zouk. They have won numerous Zouk competitions and are senior instructors at The Omni Movement.
