About this Event
Each month we pick a cookbook, and you pick a recipe from that book that you want to try your hand at. On book club day, each attendee will bring a dish to pass, dinner party style. There are few things better in life than gathering in community over good food and even better conversation, and we can't wait to host you!
Our pick for this month is Big Vegan Flavor by Nisha Vora, a James Beard-nominated, New York Times bestselling cookbook that goes far beyond recipes. Built around Vora's "flavor first" philosophy, it breaks down the techniques and principles behind great plant-based cooking — from building umami depth to mastering texture — so you can cook boldly and confidently whether you're vegan or just veg-curious. Come ready to swap tips, share what you've made, and talk all things plants.
A note for our returning cookbook club members: if you don't follow a vegan diet, we'd love for you to consider sitting this one out and joining us for a future month — we want to make sure there's plenty of space for our vegan guests to attend!
Once registration fills up, we'll send out a follow-up email with a form for each attendee to fill out so we can ensure a wide range of recipes are brought to the literal and figurative table on the day of the event.
Tickets are $20, and you'll receive a $10 credit to use in store (valid on book club day only). Your ticket price includes free table wine, sparkling water, and the cozy dinner party atmosphere of your dreams.
