We’re excited to share a first look at artist-rendered concepts for our upcoming July 4th Celebration and Street Festival!Building on the momentum of being named “Best Event of the Year” at the Friends of Southwest Virginia Tourism Awards and with the America 250th celebration on the horizon, we knew it was time to reimagine, refresh, and elevate this event to an entirely new level. Not to mention, we plan to showcase this new branding through memorabilia like t-shirts, buttons and maybe even possibly painting the poster as a mural in the heart of our downtown as a way to remember this epic day and event!
Start the afternoon with the July 4 America 250th Celebration Kids Parade on Tazewell Street. Bring decorated bikes, tricycles, wagons, and other non-motorized toys and join in the fun. Prizes will be awarded, and several bikes will be given away at the conclusion of the parade.
Be sure to check out the expanded July 4th America 250th Celebration Cruise in, welcoming classic and cool cars with more space to accommodate a record crowd from years past.
And as always, stay tuned for all the great live music, including major acts, food vendors, games, and a huge July 4th America 250th Fireworks show launched from Withers Park at approximately 9:45pm.
