Join us as we welcome Julie Owen Moylan, in conversation with Daisy Buchanan to celebrate the publication of Circus of Mirrors, a fantastic tale of sisterhood and missed chances set in mid-20th century Berlin.

Julie Owen Moylan is an exciting new voice in the reading group space. Her debut, That Green Eyed Girl, was a Grazia bookclub pick and garnered a wall of praise.
That Green Eyed Girl was a Waterstones’ Welsh Book of the Month and the official runner up for the prestigious Paul Torday Memorial Prize. It was also shortlisted for Best Debut at the Fingerprint Awards and featured at the Hay Festival as one of its ‘Ten at Ten’. 73 Dove Street was a Waterstones’ Books of 2023 pick and a Daily Mail Historical Fiction Book of the Year. Her writing and short stories have appeared in a variety of publications including Sunday Express, The Independent, New Welsh Review and Good Housekeeping. She has a Masters in Filmmaking and an additional qualification in Creative Writing & English Literature. Julie is an alumna of the Faber Academy.
Daisy Buchanan is an award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster. Her books include the novels Insatiable (longlisted for the CWIP prize), Careering (as heard on BBC Sounds) and Limelight, and the non-fiction titles How to Be a Grown Up and The Sisterhood. She hosts the Daisy Is ... podcast series, and the chart-topping podcast You're Booked, where she interviews legendary writers from all over the world about how their reading habits shape their work. You can also hear her on beloved podcasts including Comfort Blanket, Cuddle Club and Crushed. Daisy has appeared on a number of TV and radio shows including Woman's Hour, The Today Programme, Soul Music, A Good Read, This Morning and Good Morning Britain. She is a TED speaker and has guest presented the Booker Prize for BBC News.
