Tickets are $42 all in.Highly regarded Canadian songwriters Julian Taylor and Logan Staats join forces for an incredible evening of entertainment at BlueShore at CapU. Presented in an acoustic format, the show promises musical surprises and heartfelt storytelling.
With a soulful voice and captivating stage presence, Julian’s unique blend of blues, roots, and folk music has earned him a growing fanbase and critical acclaim. Of mixed Black and Mohawk descent, Julian has earned four Juno Award nominations (including one this year for Roots Album of the Year for Pathways), along with eight Canadian Folk Music Awards (with a win for best solo artist in 2022), five Native American Music Award nominations, plus a nomination for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize.
Mohawk rocker turned folk and soul musician Logan Staats played his local Brantford, Ontario, circuit for years before his 2015 debut Goodbye Goldia, a hard-hitting solo acoustic album. He went on to win CTV’s “The Launch” in 2018, and started touring across North America and Europe. Crusading for indigenous sovereignty has become a focal point for Logan. It all intermingles with his music: the passion, the rage, the love, and, most of all, the healing. He makes road-trippin’ music for those traveling ‘the red road’, a path towards reconnecting and relearning indigenous ways.
