Get to know your Juki UX8
During this one day workshop Mary-Louise will show you how to get the most of many of the exciting features these machines. You will explore how to navigate the menus in order to customise the machine settings to suit the types of sewing creations that you wish to undertake.
Particular focus will be put on the features that are special to this machines such as the smart feed and the interchangeable throat plates and feed.
We will explore the variety of stitch settings and the different machine feet that your machine has to offer. Many stitches and patterns can be edited and customised to suit particular requirements and to create decorative effects. You can expect to create a range of samples of techniques of both the practical and the decorative elements of that can be undertaken on either of these two amazing machines.
Sample techniques will include buttonholes, applique using tapered stitching, quilting using straight stitching zig zag and free motion, decorative pattern stitching and many more.
You will need to bring
A basic sewing kit.
BRING YOUR SEWING MACHINE, power lead, foot pedal, accessories and the manual.
You may wish to bring a note pad and pen.
