About this Event
At the legendary Peer Hat in Northern Quarter, Manchester UK. The Peer Hat is an alternative-leaning record store, beer house, venue & club space in the city's most romanticised counter-cultural district.
JUICE POPS
Manchester quartet Juice Pops blend exuberant genre fusion with sharp songwriting and restless creativity. Their music sits at the thrilling crossroads of psychedelia, post‑hardcore, garage rock, surf, and power pop. BBC Introducing Manchester has celebrated their latest record’s lead single, Heavyweight Champion, as “that sweet intersection of noise and bliss that makes magic.”
STEPHIE JAMES
Stephie James overturns Nashville’s hat and boot culture with her own Iggy Pop-meets-Judy Garland panache. Through music, Stephie James takes us on a cinematic tour through her world of late night soirees, loves lost and loves found, all the while unafraid to embrace the uncertainty of the world. This is her debut UK performance.
DRAPED APES
Draped Apes are a Nashville art garage rock band led by multi-instrumentalist Timoscles. This wide-ranging effort celebrates the futility of life. Inherently contrasting, and drawing on primal emotions like anger and desire, the result has the vulnerability of a singer/songwriter but the bravado of rock and roll. Their lastest single Making It (Up) found airplay on BBC 6 Music by Amy Lame and on Radio X by John Kennedy.
