JSM/Long Branch Ocean Swims 'Anchors' Fundraiser: 50x100 / 50x50 - SUNDAY: May 3 (630am)100% OF PROCEEDS GO TOWARDS THE REPLACEMENT OF THE ANCHORS, BUOYS & CHAINS THAT WE LOST IN THE OCT 12 STORM...
In 2025, we made a substantial investment in equipment for our ocean swims (>$2000 in buoys, chain & anchors) & unfortunately, Mother Nature had her way w/ them & we lost everything during the Oct 12 storm. With that, we'll be replacing them & putting in measures, so they last more than (1) season.
COST:
o $20 minimum donation
o There will be a labeled box at the swim to make your contribution there OR via Venmo

For those who would like to kick off May w/ a 5,000y workout, we'll be offering a 630am group workout...
WHEN:
SUNDAY - MAY 3 (630-830am)
WHAT:
o Our 'A' group will be doing 50x100 on a 1:30 interval (send off) & we'll have varying lanes/ability TO DO AS LITTLE/MUCH AS YOU LIKE (staying on schedule, our 50x100 (2:30 Group), will finish right after the 2-hour mark).
HOW 'GOOD' OF A SWIMMER DO I NEED TO BE?
o We'll have lanes from 100s on 1:30 to 50's on a 1:30 Interval (send-off) & many between those (2).
The JSM / Asbury Masters program is an organized group workout, designed for nearly every level of adult swimmer. Each day/week, we have up to (7) different coached workouts available, for athletes ranging from newcomers to former collegiate swimmers. If you have never participated in a structured swim program and/or are much slower than 2:00 /100-yard pace, we recommend participating in either our 8-Week Beginner 101 Swim Program or Masters E, F or G Groups, so you'll be more comfortable in the group workout environment (if you have questions about any of these programs, please message us or e-mail Coach Brian: [email protected]).

MISC:
o Lockers / Showers: There are lockers & showers available (you'd just need to bring towels, toiletries).
COACH BRIAN BIO:
o Brian Shea comes to the program with a wealth of experience in endurance sports as an athlete, coach and consultant. He is the President & Head Coach/Consultant at JSM (Jersey Shore Masters) & for over 25 years, has competed in all levels of endurance sports from 5K to Ultra-marathon Swims/Runs to Ironman.
o He has raced/won triathlons in the United States & abroad with multiple Ironman finishes including Ironman Hawaii with Personal Bests of:
5k - 15:54
Marathon - 2:49
Ironman - 9:31
Most recently, Brian has 8 Top-10 finishes at the 8+mile Annual Swim for Alligator Light in Islamorada, FL as well as a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishes (M40-49) at the United States Lifesaving Association National Championships.
o On the coaching side, Brian is a certified coach having formulated training and sports nutrition programs for athletes ranging from beginner to professional.
