About this Event
Welcome to a space where creativity meets community! π€©
Joy in the Making started as a pop-up series of workshops in the summer of 2025, when Steph of stephemera studios and Alyssa of Queer Collage Collective wanted to create a space for grown-up creative play - no pressure, no perfectionism, no need to buy or produce anything. Just a space to play, experiment, and connect. π«ΆπΎ
While Alyssa takes a break from co-hosting these events to focus on all her other pursuits (check her out on Instagram @queercollagecollectives), Steph continues the initiative with a winter workshops series!
Whether you're a seasoned artist, a curious beginner, or someone with a project gathering dust in your closet - you're welcome here. Each workshop will have light facilitation and a craft theme, but we invite you to come collage, craft, skill-swap, trade materials, or simply hang out with others who want to get creative. βοΈ
We believe that art is for everyone - not just for galleries, careers, or profits. It's for joy. For healing. For connection. For feeling full and wanting to give something beautiful back. π©·
Designed with queer and trans BIPOC folks in mind, but open to all. Letβs reclaim creative space together! π¨
Please register below and we look forward to seeing you at the events!
