The Children's Art Carnival with Ayodele Olayinka and special guest Lillias White will take place on March 30th at 62 Hamilton Terrace, New York, NY 10031.

This event is FREE and open to families, schools, and children of all ages.

Ayodele Olayinka, 8, celebrated for her enchanting tales that captivate young hearts, will be sharing her latest co-authored literary masterpiece, "This is My Story," during an engaging and interactive session at the Children's Art Carnival. The event aims to foster a love for reading and creativity in children while celebrating the rich cultural tapestry of the Harlem community. Borne out of Ayodele's personal experience of losing her father at an early age, “This is My Story” is a book designed to inspire hope, fortitude, and perseverance in children of all ages.

About Ayodele Olayinka:

Ayodele Olayinka, 8, is a highly acclaimed children's book author known for her ability to weave enchanting tales that spark the imagination of young readers. With a passion for storytelling, Ayodele aims to inspire children to embrace their uniqueness and discover the magic within their own stories. "This is My Story" is her latest creation, captivating hearts with its vibrant narrative and stunning illustrations.

About Maryam Myika Day:

A multifaceted talent, excelling as an actress, author, storyteller, and award-winning producer. She has penned the untold story of Motown sensation Tammi Terrell for the upcoming biopic "Mountain High," starring Kat Graham. She also successfully sold and wrote "A Sisterly Christmas," starring Deborah Joy Winans, airing on OWN. Maryam proudly joined the writing team for Lifetime Television's anthology series, "WRATH: A Seven Deadly Sins Story," which premiered in April 2022. Maryam is one of the original chorines in the Tony Award-winning revival of 42nd Street and has appeared on shows Law & Order, This Is Us, and more.

About Lillias White:

Lillias White is a Tony Award-winning actress and singer whose illustrious career spans Broadway, film, and television. Ms. White is currently playing Hermes in the Broadway Musical, HADESTOWN. With a powerful and soulful voice, Lillias has left an indelible mark on the entertainment industry. In 1989 she won an Obie Award for her performance in the Off-Broadway musical Romance in Hard Times. In 1997 she won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical for portraying Sonja in Cy Coleman's The Life. She was nominated for a Tony Award again in 2010 for her work as Funmilayo in Fela Kuti's Fela!. White is also known for her roles as Calliope in the Disney film Hercules (1997), and its animated series of the same name; Evette in the film Pieces of April (2003); and as Fat Annie in the Netflix series The Get Down. She has also starred as Bloody Mary in Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific on PBS' Great Performances with Reba McEntire and in the PBS documentary In Performance at the White House. She is an active cabaret singer and has appeared in concert with the Boston Pops Orchestra, the Brooklyn Philharmonic, and Carnegie Hall.
