Workshop Description:

You already know how to coach. You already have the drills, the skill work, the warmups. This workshop doesn't ask you to throw any of it out.

It asks you to look at what you're already doing — and redesign it to build something more powerful than fun.

Joy. Not as a mood, but as a structure. Not something that happens to young people — something you design into the practices, routines, and experiences you're already running.

In this hands-on workshop, youth sport leaders will learn the Five Conditions of Joy — the elements that make sport genuinely transformative for young people — and then apply them directly to their own work. Bring a drill. Bring a skill sequence. Bring a routine. Leave with it redesigned.

You will leave with:

• A clear framework for understanding and building joy — distinct from fun — in youth sport
• Experience redesigning an existing drill or skill activity through the lens of the Five Conditions
• Practical tools to bring back to your team, your practice, your program — starting this week
• Connections with peer leaders across the Los Angeles youth sport community
