Join acclaimed NYC-based musician Chris Dingman for an evening of transcendent music journeys. Chris's captivating journeys are an immersive sound experience that many have described as transportive and deeply healing. Chris will be joined by the visionary sound ritualist and nature field recordist Zaneta, who will guide meditations into and out of the experience.

You are invited to enjoy this like a sound bath, with space to lie down, relax, and travel through a transformational evening. You will be invited to reflect on your intentions for the evening, and guided into a meditative and heart-opening place. Chris will then use the ethereal, crystalline sound of the vibraphone in patterns and layers with own voice to channel a 60+ minute soundscape attuned to the people in the room and in service of bringing in an expansive and healing energy for all. Chris’s musical soundscapes will bring you through a dynamic inner journey. Come out feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready for your weekend to begin.

All are encouraged to bring a mat or cushion and any other items to be able to lie down during the experience. A limited number of chairs will be available for those who wish to sit instead.

Parking and Public Transit

Street parking can be found on Hampshire Street and Cambridge Street. Please do not park in the parking lots at the base of the building as they are private and will tow. Central Square Cambridge public transportation is .7 miles away. Union Square Somerville Green Line stop is .6 miles away. Bus lines that run through Inman Sq are the 83 and 69.

Venue

The event will take place at Vivid Oblivion, a 1200 sq ft studio in Inman Sq Cambridge dedicated to strengthening intersectional, international, and intergenerational co-creative dialogue to catalyze change, deepening networks within ourselves, place, and each other in service of visioning new and better futures. The studio opens new trajectories within body and landscape, through the wilds of interdisciplinary exchange, rigor and the untamed in performance, dance, somatics, design, and emerging spiritualities.
