Just a short trip north, Canada has quietly become the world’s largest producer of icewine. Beyond that famous sweet sip, a full wine renaissance has been unfolding over the past few decades in Ontario and British Columbia. Winemakers there are turning out vibrant Rieslings, expressive Cabernet Franc, and more, all under the Vintners Quality Alliance system that sets the bar for quality and authenticity.
In this seminar, we’ll explore what makes these cool climate wines so compelling and how shifting weather patterns, global markets, and political decisions shape what ends up in our glass. With Tax Day around the corner, tariffs and trade will definitely be part of the conversation.
