Journey Central Comedy Open Mic Night: A Little Love and Romance - Cancer Research UK Fundraiser
A ★★★★ Fringe show… cheaper than therapy and twice as fun.
Journey Central Comedy Open Mic night IS BACK!
Join us February 23rd at Ye Olde Cock Tavern for a special Cancer Research Fundraiser
This February I’m also taking on TWO charity challenges…
100 squats EVERY day
20-minute dance challenge EVERY day
Come along and see if I’m still standing by the end of it… honestly, I’m already suffering and it’s only Day 5!
I’m doing this for my Mum, for so many others affected by cancer, and if I’m honest… for myself too. It’s my push to live healthier, get moving, and hopefully raise some money to help Cancer Research in the process
It will be the usual Energy Check: This isn't your average open mic night, it's a 4* Edinburgh Fringe show! We've got a mix of new and seasoned talent, and tbh, the newbies are just as funny. Come for the jokes, stay for Labrish with Lainey's hilarious postshow chats with the Acts.
Past comics include legends like Jack Whitehall, James Acaster, Andi Osho and Sara Pascoe. You could be seeing the next big thing!
Lineup:
Arie David
Auz Thompson
Derya Yildrim
Georgia Thorps
Kal Bashir
Lizzie Corfield
Refreshments - food and drinks available in Ground floor bar
Tix: All proceeds from ticket sales to Cancer Research UK
Here are the links for the 2 challenges if you want to donate prior to date of the fundraising event and see my (hopefully) daily updates.

Dance - Bowel cancer: https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/laineys-giving-page-12
Warning: Laughter can seriously change your mood!
Audience Reviews:
- "Even with a smaller crowd, a lovely atmosphere was created."
- "A great evening was had... and the show was thoroughly enjoyed!"
- "...truly vibrant vibe."
- "Laughter from beginning to end!"
- "JCC is unique...nobody else is doing this on an open mic night."
Disclaimer: Edinburgh Fringe gave our show 4, so in theory the MC Lainey earned 1*. You've been warned so brace yourself!
