Joshua Batten
Joshua Batten is a genuine entertainer, with a rare ability to truly connect with his audience. His live shows have resonated with audiences and garnered him a dedicated following, with extensive appearances at major events and festivals across Australia.
A proud endorsee of Cole Clark Guitars, Joshua uses a variety of loop and effects pedals to create full-sounding arrangements, combining percussive beats with layers of rhythm guitar and backing vocals, before wailing away with blistering guitar solos. An old soul in a young man’s body, Joshua’s set draws from a vast repertoire including folk ballads, roots & blues rockers, and timeless hits that everyone can sing along to. His original songs display a depth well beyond his years, offering authentic reflections of introspective moments, humbly presented as universally relatable experiences.
Joshua has released three full studio albums alongside several singles, and is a two-time finalist in both the Melbourne Blues Challenge and the Roddy Read Songwriting Award at Maldon Folk Festival.
