A homecoming moment: On 7 March 2026, Luxembourg’s own Josh Island takes to the Rockhal stage for his biggest concert yet, marking the release of his second album Imaginary Borders.
After a whirlwind few years touring Europe and performing at major festivals—including Luxembourg favourites Kinnekswiss Loves and Echterlive—the singer-songwriter returns to Rockhal for a night that promises energy, intimacy and a sense of togetherness.
Praised as a “powerhouse vocalist”, Josh blends infectious melodies with uplifting storytelling, drawing inspiration from artists like Sting, Hozier and Fink. Having started his journey here in Luxembourg as a teenager, he has since captivated audiences across the continent, supporting international stars such as Passenger and James Morrison, and earning acclaim as “the voice of Europe” (Rhein-Zeitung).
Written amidst studio sanctuaries in Lisbon and Amsterdam, bandmates in Luxembourg, and the historical echoes of Athens, Imaginary Borders is Josh’s call to challenge the walls we build—both physical and emotional—urging listeners to look inward and embrace a world with more empathy and understanding.
His early singles—Courage, Artemis and Unconditionally—have already showcased the emotional depth and storytelling fans can expect on stage, where they’ll take on a whole new life.
For this special Rockhal performance, Josh is joined by an international band of musicians from Portugal and Luxembourg. Together, they will bring Imaginary Borders to life, while revisiting fan favourites like Pennies From Heaven, How Does It Feel, Patio Blues and Love Don’t Come Easy.
