JOSEY SCOTT
Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Josey Scott is an esteemed artist with four Grammy nominations. As the original lead vocalist of SALIVA, Scott was instrumental in the band's decade-long achievements, co-writing and recording eight albums, releasing 19 singles, and contributing to over six million records sold worldwide, establishing a lasting impact on the rock genre.
In 2002, Scott co-wrote and performed "HERO" with Chad Kroeger of NICKELBACK, a track featured as one of the theme songs for the film SPIDER-MAN. This collaboration earned them the "Best Video from a Film: award at the 2003 MTV Video Awards.
Scott's contributions extend beyond music. He has worked alongside prominent industry figures, including Jay-Z on "TAKEOVER," and artists such as Lil Wyte and Three Six Mafia. His versatility is further demonstrated by his roles in television and film, including an appearance in the 2005 film HUSTLE & FLOW with Academy Award-winning actor Terrence Howard, and a recurring role as Officer Rodney Gronbeck in the TNT series WANTED.
Currently, Josey Scott tours throughout the United States and Canada under the name JOSEY SCOTT - The Original Voice of SALIVA, celebrating the band's legacy through dynamic live performances. In collaboration with acclaimed producer Scattered Brains (recognized for work with Jelly Roll and Struggle Jennings), Scott continues to be a prominent figure in the music industry, engaging long-time followers and attracting new audiences.
