Fun, family .... and fantasies of fratricide!
The famous first musical written by Andrew LLoyd Weber and Tim Rice as teenagers, still performed around the world today.
Joseph is his father's favourite child. After dad Jacob gives Joseph an amazing coloured coat, his jealous brothers plot to get rid of him - but things don't quite work out as planned and Joseph goes on a big journey which ends in fame, fortune and - in the end, forgiveness.
The original story dates from many hundreds of years ago, Lloyd Webber and Rice created the piece in 1968 and today 1st Gear Productions is bringing a quirky new look to this musical classic.
With an onstage cast of just eight and a live band of five, set in the intimate space of the Gryphon Theatre, it's a fast and funny take on a classic aimed at people of all ages and offering pure fun for the festive season.
