Italian vibraphonist Jordan Corda presents his latest project dedicated to the vibraphone trio format, joined for this special occasion by Romanian musicians Razvan Cojanu on double bass and Gabi Matei on drums. The concert features fresh arrangements of iconic jazz standards, original compositions by historic vibraphonists, and new unreleased music from Cordas upcoming album Allumiere 38. A performance that blends the energy of contemporary jazz with the soulful roots of the hard bop tradition.
Jordan Corda is a vibraphonist from Cagliari, Italy, born in 1994. After beginning his studies in classical percussion, he specialized in jazz vibraphone and has since become an active presence on the European jazz scene.
He collaborates regularly with internationally renowned musicians such as Max Ionata, Luca Mannutza, Sasha Mashin, Makar Novikov, Tony Pancella, and many others.
He has performed at major jazz venues and festivals across Europe, including the Blue Note in Milan, the Johnny Raducanu Jazz Festival in Braila, Time in Jazz, the European Jazz Expo, and
Casa degli Italiani in Barcelona.
He is the winner of the international "Johnny Raducanu" Award in Braila, the Audience Award at the Chicco Bettinardi competition in Italy, and the Isio Saba Award.
