This classic Run-Swim-Run event format is suitable for all age groups and includes both junior (7-11Yrs upwards) and a short Bolt distance (Juniors 12yrs+ & Seniors) and a 1500m Swim Challenge. For 2025 the Long distance race at the Joondalup Autumn Classic is the WA Aquathlon State Championship for both Junior and Senior age groups. The race is also a AusTriathlon - Age Group WT World Championship Qualifying race over the distance of 2.5km Run - 1km Swim - 2.5km Run.
