About this Event
Jono Holland setup Devon and Cornwall Bushcraft CIC in 2018 to provide training and accessibility to the outdoors. Since this time hundreds of people have benefited by learning new skills, gaining confidence and a deeper enjoyment of the outdoors through our courses and events. During his talk Jono will be discussing ways in which bushcraft is applicable in everyday life and can be used to help improve both the local and wider environment, through education and personal responsibility. In this country most people spend the majority of their time indoors so there is now a disconnect between people and the natural world. Rather than being a specific activity itself, bushcraft is a term used to cover wide range of activities and by discussing some of these activities, it is hoped that more people will be inspired to venture outdoors and ignite a new connection with the natural world.
The event is part of the ACT with the Arts Climate Festival taking place across Teignbridge from the 22nd - 29th June. For more information visit TICKETS - ACT With the Arts Festival (actionclimateteignbridge.org)
