About this Event
Breakthrough country music artist Jonathan Williams has transformed his life through faith and the healing power of music. A passionate artist and storyteller, he channels his experiences of heartbreak and healing into powerful songs that resonate with audiences. His latest song “That’s What a Heartbreak Tastes Like,” showcases his evolution as a modern country rock artist. Cowritten with BCCMA Producer of the Year Jeff Johnson and recorded in Nashville, this song is destined to hit the top of the music charts.
Jonathan’s path to music was not straightforward. Before returning to his true calling as a singer/songwriter, Jonathan served with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where he developed a strong sense of duty and commitment. Over time, however he developed PTSD from the years of experienced at work and made the painful decision to retire. He then faced profound personal challenges, including the dissolution of his marriage. It was during this difficult time that he held on to his faith and found solace in music, using it as a means to navigate his healing journey and rediscover his passion for songwriting. His experiences in law enforcement and the incredible changes in his personal life shaped his perspective and inspired the heartfelt narratives woven into his songs.
Jonathan Williams truly has a sound and a story you will need to hear.
Based in the Okanagan Valley of BC, Jonathan has been captivating audiences at festivals and venues by sharing his journey of resilience and hope through his music. With new music being released in the new year, Jonathan is preparing to hit the road with a solo performance tour. Jonathan’s sound and music is akin to the likes of Keith Urban, Chris Rice and Russell Dickerson.
Jonathan is a genuine born and bred Canadian BC boy who started playing music at the age of 13. He explores and shares the depths of his soul, turning his own loss into universally resonant messages of faith. Jonathan’s songs are performed with the conviction of a man who has hit rock bottom and still found the strength to carry on.
