Avenue Baptist Church is marking its 150th anniversary with a series of live music events this June, bringing together award-winning performers, contemporary gospel acts and a nationally recognised entertainer for three evenings of music, community and fundraising. Join us for this inspiring and memorable show, ‘NOT DEAD YET’, an uplifting, musical celebration full of life, love and laughter with world-renowned musician, Jonathan Veira.
Be delighted as Jonathan plays and sings a rich variety of beautiful and well-known songs across many musical styles. And be enthralled as, in his relaxed and easy-going way, he shares his faith in God and recounts captivating, moving and humorous anecdotes from his professional and personal life.
Jonathan is a world-renowned musician with a 30+ year career on the stage. He has featured on BBC Songs of Praise and is known for his one-man shows where he combines powerful music with humour and storytelling to share messages of hope, joy and faith.
Profits from this concert will be donated to the Southend Foodbank; a fantastic local charity providing emergency food and practical support to people facing hardship in our community.
