Jon Lehrer Dance Company (JLDC) performances are filled with breathtaking and dynamic physical excitement, combined with an elegance, purity, and passion that is second to none. Along with world-renowned choreography, the eight dancers of JLDC bring their own unique skills to the work, creating a dynamic synergy that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. As Zollern-Alb Kurier in Balingen, Germany proclaimed, “Dynamism, elegance, acrobatics, power and an absolute passion for dance – these are the attributes that could be used to describe the JLDC performance.” Returning for the 2nd year in a row, JLDC’s performance at Sanctuary of the Arts has been carefully curated to bring audiences on a journey they will not soon forget.
In the 18-year history of the company, Jon has created over 30 works that have received rave reviews and wowed audiences worldwide. This year’s program will feature works never before seen at Sanctuary including,
“Cash or Check?” (2014)
A wild and raucous romp set in a nightclub in the 1920’’s where the phrase ‘Cash or Check?’ was used to ask, "Will you kiss me now or later?”
“Fused”(2025)
A driving and fearless combination of classic and contemporary movement, set to unique, surprising, and satisfying compositions combining classical and Cuban music.
