About the Course
People have been telling you for years that you’re funny. It’s time to prove them right. Joke Club is a transformative stand-up program taught by touring pro Rodney Ramsey. You’ll find your voice, write tight jokes, and perform like a pro.
Start date: Sunday, April 5th, 2026
Location: The Comedy Nest
Format: 6 in-person classes + 4 online sessions (10 total)
Free Stand-Up Comedy Shows: Comedians learn by watching comedy. Once you enroll in Joke Club, you receive free comedy shows at The Nest for life.
What You’ll Get
- Develop material: Build your first polished 5-minute set for open mics, clubs, and festival showcases.
- Paid graduation show: Perform at Comedy Nest and get paid.
- Stage reps: Tour Joke Club-run open mics, including Straight Shooters in Montreal, with new mics opening in Kingston and Ottawa (run by Joke Club grads).
