Jointer & Planer: BUS (Basic Use and Safety)
STUDENTS MUST TAKE BUS TABLE SAW, MITER SAW AND BAND SAW CLASS or be a member who is checked out on the above saws to take this class
In this Basic Use and Safety workshop, students will learn how to safely set up and use the pair of machines needed for milling lumber foursquare: the jointer & planer. We will cover machine set up and ergonomic best practices for working with solid wood.
Completion of this single 2hr class certifies students to use equipment independently as a member or a non-member on a day pass.
Requirements
STUDENTS MUST TAKE BUS TABLE SAW, MITER SAW AND BAND SAW CLASS or be a member who is checked out on these saws to take this class
Students must come to class with appropriate attire, which includes closed-toe shoes, long pants, and hair tied back. Makerspace NYC will provide safety glasses and ear protection. Open to all, ages 18+

Members $125 // Non-members $150
Classes may be cancelled for low attendance and, if that is the case, you'll be refunded in full. Refunds under other circumstances are offered on a case by case basis. Under no circumstances will refunds be issued for same-day cancellations - this ruins the party for everyone.
