Angela Walton-Raji returns with her latest work, Choctaw Freedmen of Skullyville, which continues her legacy of documenting the rich, often overlooked histories of Choctaw Freedmen families and communities.
Terry Ligon introduces his first published book, Enslaved on the Trail of Tears: Race, Removal and the Transformation of Indian Territory. This work sheds light on the Freedmen experience during the deadly Trail of Tears as the accounts of the enslaved are often overlooked.
