✈️ This series is a joint-collaboration venture with the Savvy Seniors On the Move™ Travel Club & Expo. Presenter: Shawn Smith is the State Director for the Virginia Senior Medicare Patrol. In his role, he leads a team of over 100 paid and volunteer staff in educating and counseling seniors on healthcare fraud prevention. Shawn is the author of “101 Fraud Tips,” a book written to provide seniors with helpful information to protect their money, credit, and identity from scammers. Shawn is a native of Virginia, a graduate of Longwood University, and he currently resides in Richmond.
This experience is more than travel — it’s connection, confidence, and community that brings together older adults and trusted senior service providers to share safe travel options, wellness resources, and essential tips. A yearlong series of On the Move Pop-Up Events designed to keep seniors engaged, supported, and connected — because no senior should be left behind.
