As The Maine Monitor looks ahead to its next 15 years of public interest journalism in Maine, they want to hear from YOU.This fall, The Maine Monitor is touring communities across the state to learn what issues matter most to Mainers, how well the newsroom is meeting your information needs, and what you want from local news organizations.
In Portland, The Third Place and the Equality Community Center are partnering with The Maine Monitor to host a special gathering that ensures the perspectives and ideas of our communities are included. This event is designed to create space for a broad cross-section of voices, especially those from historically excluded communities.
Join Micaela from The Maine Monitor, Chris from the Equality Community Center, Adilah from The Third Place and Meg Robbins from the Portland Press Herald for an evening of conversation, connection, and community—complete with refreshments.
We welcome everyone: those who read The Maine Monitor, those who participate in the Equality Community Center or The Third Place, and those who don’t. Our goal is to create a forum that truly reflects the diversity of the many communities that call Maine home.
