In honour of Scarborough’s 45th Anniversary, we invite you to travel back to the year 1545. King Henry VIII and Queen Catherine Parr are happily married now, nearly two years. Thus, they have decided, once more, to grace the Scarborough Festival grounds on a Spring Progress. In a few short months, the Mary Rose will be sunk by the French Fleet (but worry not, fair England, their aim to invade England shall be soundly thwarted). Yes, the Scots have just achieved victory in the Battle of Ancrum Moor, but for now, we shall ignore military conflicts, deny any political maneuverings and simply embrace time with our beloved King and Queen.
