Kicking it off with John Paul White was a no brainer! With The Hurting Kind, John Paul White has crafted a stunning album that draws on the lush, orchestrated music made in Nashville in the early 1960s. Yet these songs retain a modern feel, whether he’s writing about overwhelming love, unraveling relationships, or the fading memory of a loved one.
Common Man is the indie-pop duo comprised of singer-songwriters Compton McMurry and Meredith Johnson. The duo have no plans of slowing down after a year of international touring, opening for The Arcadian Wild, and participating in a handful of Festivals. So look out world, because Common Man has traded in their Honda Civic for a brand new 2009 Honda Odyssey and they’re looking to the future with really squinty eyes.
