John Kirkpatrick (www.johnkirkpatrick.co.uk) is a superb singer, great writer of songs & tunes, fine dancer & the best English squeezer bar none. He is one of the great solo acts on the folk scene & has played with the Albions, Steeleye Span, Brass Monkey, Band of Hope & many more. He has been morris dancing, playing for it, & thinking about it for over 60 years. The man must know something!
The workshop will cover playing for all kinds of morris dancing, looking at different styles, & above all how to subdue your ego to be at the service of the dance. Some music will be sent out in advance.

15.15 How the same tune can be adjusted to suit radically different dancing styles. General summing up.
