John Feliciano & Friends
John Carlos Feliciano is a multi instrumentalist who specializes in both the electric and the stand up basses. He grew up in New Hampshire and achieved a masters degree in jazz at The Purchase College Conservatory of Music (SUNY). John is also a versatile arranger and composer.
He has studied with David Zinno, Scott Colley, Arturo O’Farrill, Steve Wilson, Charles Blenzig, John Riley, Hal Galper, Kermit Driscoll, Rogerio Boccato, Pete Malinverni, Mark Vinci, Todd Coolman, Ralph Lalama, Jon Gordon, David DeJesus, Scott Wendholt, John Abercrombie, Doug Weiss, Jared Sims, Joe Parillo, Eric Hofbauer, and Jon Faddis among many other talented inspirational giants of music.
John is a professor at The Patricia F Robinson Music Studio in Brooklyn, and Prometheus Lessons where he teaches bass, guitar, piano, drums, music theory, ear training, jazz history, arranging, and composition.
He is an active composer and performer for numerous projects in the theatre. His theatre credits include company musical director for Theatre of War, composer of “And The War Came” written by Jay Adana, and soundtrack composer to Yellow House’s “No Exit”.
John currently lives in NYC and has performed and recorded with Gabriel Garzon-Montano, Sharina Louise, Tristen Napoli, Connell Thompson, Dan Glaude, Joe Parillo, Frank Schaub, Devon Dixon, Mike Gordon, Alex Mackinnon, Jon Saraga, John Lander, Davy Levitan, Colin Gordon, Kevin Theodore, Jas Walton, Andy Roninson, Maya Shanker, Marty Peters, Dana Malseptic, Mike Zeffiro, Dub Sonata, Kevin Jacobi, Shanelle D.
